Hygiene Kits for Kids
"Hygiene Kits for Kids" was a church-wide emphasis promoted by the Women's Ministry.
Promotion Kickoff We had a Scavenger Hunt during fellowship time for kids and kids at heart to scour the whole church for ‘hidden’ (in plain sight) rubber ducks. Each duck had a tag with a portion of 1 Timothy 6:18-19. We met back in the fellowship room and “got our ducks in a row” on the window ledge to spell the verses out. We then presented the plan for the congregation to participate in a collection for Hygiene kits items, with a goal of 24 kits.
A Just Ducky Carnival and "Spring Shower for MNA" After a "bring your own" sack lunch, we gathered in the basement to put together the Kid’s Hygiene Kits and have a “just ducky” Carnival with lots of fun games. With a little finessing, (thanks helpers!) we got the kit items into the gallon freezer bags, and reached our goal of 24 kits!! Then it was time for fun and games!! There was Chuck a Duck; Duck Tac-Toe; Duck Trivia; 'Disaster Duck' Says...; A Duck Walk; Duck Pond Match; and Duck, Duck, Goose. We can't wait til next time!!
